Brookings Municipal Utilities (BMU)

One of the cornerstones of the Brookings community is its nearly century old municipally owned utilities serving the Brookings community with electric, water, wastewater and telecommunications services.

While the name Swiftel Communications is new, our company has existed for over 100 years. Until recently, Swiftel was known as Brookings Telephone, a department of Brookings Municipal Utilities.
