Spring Morning

All about us is beauty this morning,
Soft touches of spring everywhere.
The lilacs are bursting with blossoms,
Their fragrance fill the dawn's gentle air

The timber is blue with violets,
Dainty, retiring, shy,
One could no more begin to count them,
Than to count the stars in the sky.

Apple trees full of bloom in the orchard,
Resemble towering clouds of white,
Catching the first rays of the sunrise,
They are truly a beautiful sight.

A carpet of green surrounds us,
Now it sparkles with the dew of the dawn,
No rainbow color is more lovely,
Than is nature's deep, verdant lawn.

And watching over all this splendor,
Is a sky of heavenly blue,
All nature is reborn in its glory,
Each spring faith and hope to renew.
